Mr. Kodama, who runs a hand-made kote business in Tokyo, is the second generation and works hard to create products with care based on his extensive experience.

The robustly constructed kote are truly "armor to protect the body," with an appeal that sets them apart from armor that simply pursues lightness and softness.
